Partial Greeley Street/Oakgreen Avenue intersection closure Nov. 5
Nov. 3, 2015
STILLWATER, Minn. – A partial closure on Highway 36 at the Greeley Street/Oakgreen Avenue intersection will begin at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 5, weather permitting.
The closure is necessary to allow construction crews to repair a substantial dip in the pavement. During this time, motorists on Greeley Street and Oakgreen Avenue will not have access to and from Highway 36. Eastbound and westbound traffic on Highway 36 will be single-lane in both directions.
The partial closure is anticipated to be in place for one day. Local resident and business access will be available at all times.
No additional Highway 36 traffic impacts within the St. Croix Crossing project zone are anticipated in 2015.
When the St. Croix Crossing project is finished, motorists will have smoother highway pavement surfaces, improved flow at intersections, an improved frontage road system—including safer access—and a new river crossing between Minnesota and Wisconsin. All of this will occur while maintaining or restoring the area’s cultural, historic and environmental resources.
