UPDATE: Hwy 95 single-lane traffic switch anticipated to begin March 28
All river bridge pier tower construction is complete
March 21, 2016
STILLWATER, Minn. – Highway 95 is anticipated to switch to single-lane traffic in each direction at the Highway 36/95 intersection beginning Monday, March 28, weather permitting.
The lane closures had originally been scheduled for Monday, March 21, but had to be postponed due to temperatures not being warm enough for crews to resume placing segments for the Minnesota approach.
The lane closures are necessary for construction crews to resume transporting segments across the road for Minnesota approach bridge deck construction. The lane closures will be in place through the construction season.
The project’s on-site casting yard located near the Highway 36/95 interchange is fabricating more than 330 pre-cast concrete segments that will make up the driving surface of the approach ramps in Minnesota. Completed segments will be transported by truck to the construction site. Motorists may experience brief periodic delays during this time. Flaggers will be present to manage traffic.
