The State Aid applications are deployed through our web page using Citrix Metaframe technology. This enables your workstation browser to connect to our database servers and open our applications in a virtual window.
To enable your browser to connect to our servers and access the applications on our web pages, you will need a piece of software called the MetaFrame Client. Many of you already have the client loaded on your workstation, as it will push down and install on your workstation automatically. The automatic push-down is dependent on many things such as browser version and your workstation operating system. For those of you who don't have the client because the auto-install will not perform, you will need to download and install the client manually. What follows are step-by-step instructions for downloading and installing the Metaframe Client:
I. Click >>here<< to download the client software. The name of the file that you are downloading is ica32t.exe. Make sure that you remember the location you saved the ica32t.exe file to on your workstation.
II. Using Windows Explorer, navigate to the ica32t.exe file that you just downloaded, and double click on it.
III. After clicking the ica32t.exe file the Citrix Web client will begin to install. At the Citrix ICA Web Client installation prompt click 'yes'.
IV. At the "Citrix License Agreement" prompt click 'yes'
V. At the Setup Completed Successfully prompt click 'ok'.
The installation just completed using steps I through V is a one time procedure and will not have to be done again. You are now ready to access Web based SALT Applications. |
If you are using a Windows Vista 32 or 64 bit system, you will need a different client. Please follow this procedure.
I. Click >>here<< to download the client software. The name of the file that you are downloading is called XenAppWeb.msi. Make sure that you remember the location you saved the XenAppWeb.msi file to on your workstation.
II. Using Windows Explorer, navigate to the XenAppWeb.msi file that you just downloaded, and double click on it.
III. After clicking the XenAppWeb.msi file the Citrix Web client will begin to install.
