Rest area closures
This information is subject to frequent updates and changes due to the nature of the construction work and due to weather conditions.
MnDOT closed the following rest area:
- Lake
Iverson Safety Rest Area - Located 8 miles southeast of Fergus
Falls on eastbound I-94
MnDOT permanently closed the Lake Iverson rest area on I-94 eastbound in Otter Tail County in response to flooding by an adjacent lake.
MnDOT recently reopened the following temporarily closed rest areas:
- Fuller Lake Rest Area - Located 1 mile west of Wright countyline in Steans County on I-94
- Rum River Rest Area - Located 11 miles north of Milaca on US 169.
MnDOT temporarily closed or will soon temporarily close the following
rest areas:
- Worthington
Travel Information Center - Located 2 miles south of Worthington
on State Highway 60
MnDOT closed the travel information center when the department detoured State Highway 60 for reconstruction. MnDOT expects to reopen the center toward the end of the 2012 construction season. During the closure MnDOT will provide limited parking and portable toilet facilities at a site near Bigelow, Minnesota. Explore Minnesota Tourism and the Worthington Area Convention and Visitors Bureau expect to provide travel information services during the closure at the Bigelow location..
