MnDOT's Transportation Research Innovation Group (TRIG) and the Local Road Research Board have awarded funding to 24 new transportation research projects for Fiscal Year 2015. Members of the Local Road Research Board recently watched a demonstration of a new, Minnesota-grown technology that uses microwaves and a special asphalt mix with magnetite to create durable pavement patches even in the middle of winter.
