Each year Mn/DOT prepares several reports and studies at the request of the State Legislature to meet federal requirements or to help us in our decision making process. This page provides quick links to the most frequently requested documents.

Plans
Statewide Freight and Passenger Rail Plan
Provides guidance for rail initiatives and investments in Minnesota. The plan will be included in the State Transportation Plan upon completion. It is required for federal funding eligibility.

This 2010-2030 plan updates the 2001 plan. The plan is a 20-year vision for public transportation in small towns, large cities and rural areas across Minnesota. It analyzes the funding and investments needed to meet the transit service needs of people in Greater Minnesota through 2030.

10 Year Highway Investment Plan Outlook 2010-2019 Summary Report
Annual update of highway capital investments.

2009 Annual Minnesota Transportation Performance Report (PDF 5.3 MB)
Report on performance status of the state's transportation system using performance measures Mn/DOT uses to track progress toward goals, help identify investment priorities and calculate fiscal needs to meet performance targets.

American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009
Reports for ARRA-funded projects to show how states are creating jobs and spending this money in a timely manner. Status reports for all modes of transit will be included when they become available.

2009 Congestion Report
Report on areas in the Twin Cities metropolitan area that experience recurring congestion.

Annual Minnesota Transit Report
Summarizes key financial information and operating statistics for Minnesota's publicly assisted transit systems. Published since 1983, this annual document provides a comprehensive view of transit in Minnesota for public officials, planners, transit providers and other interested persons.

Transportation Long-Range Funding Solutions
