Increasing the transparency of how we select highway construction projects

Local Partnership Program - MnDOT District 3

Scoring criteria for the local partnership program in district 3. Out of 100 possible points, 30 points are based on pavement, bridge and other infrastructure condition, 20 points are based on safety, 20 points are based on project readiness, 15 points are based on mobility and access improvements, and 15 points are based on local and regional priorities.

The Local Partnership Program (formerly known as Municipal Agreements or Cooperative Agreements) funds locally identified improvements to state highways, particularly locations where the local transportation network intersects with the state system.

Within each district, cities and counties apply for funding.

MnDOT’s State Aid Division is currently revising the project selection criteria for the Local Partnership Program.
