St. Croix Crossing open house set for July 9 in New Richmond, Wis.

ST. PAUL, Minn. – The public is invited to an open house for the St. Croix Crossing project on Monday, July 9, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., at the New Richmond City Hall, 156 E. First Street, New Richmond, Wis.

The Minnesota and Wisconsin departments of transportation will have representatives available to explain the project, answer questions and listen to concerns from area residents and local businesses.

This is the seventh in a series of open houses for the St. Croix Crossing project.

To request an ASL or foreign language interpreter or to request other reasonable accommodations, call 715-833-9814. Hearing or speech impaired individuals are encouraged to call the Wisconsin Relay Service toll-free at 711 or email your request to chris.ouellette@dot.wi.gov.

The St. Croix Crossing project replaces the 80-year-old Stillwater Lift Bridge with a safer, more reliable four-lane bridge that will connect expressways on both sides of the St. Croix River, in Oak Park Heights, Minn. and St. Joseph, Wis. The project also adds extensive trail systems, including converting the Stillwater Lift Bridge to a bicycle and pedestrian crossing.

Visit www.mndot.gov/stcroixcrossing/ for more project information and the St. Croix Crossing Facebook page at www.facebook.com/saintcroixcrossingmndot.
