MN&S Freight Rail Study Environmental Assessment Worksheet available for review
Open house set for June 8
ST. PAUL, Minn. —An open house on the Minneapolis Northfield & Southern Railway Freight Rail Study environmental assessment worksheet will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on June 8 at St. Louis Park Recreational Center, 3700 Monterey Drive.
The public also can review copies of the Environmental Assessment Worksheet at:

- Hennepin County Public Library, 300 Nicollet Mall, Minneapolis
- St. Louis Park Public Library, 3240 Library Lane
- St. Louis Park City Hall, 5005 Minnetonka Blvd
The project includes track improvements to the existing Canadian Pacific Railway and the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway in St. Louis Park to accommodate the proposed relocation of the Twin Cities and Western freight rail traffic currently operating in the Kenilworth Corridor in Minneapolis. A portion of the proposed BNSF improvement extends into the city of Minneapolis.
