April 12 meeting will outline summer construction work on I-35E in Ramsey County
Work planned from White Bear Lake to Columbus
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Information about the repairs and resurfacing on Interstate 35E between Ramsey County Road 96 in White Bear Lake and the Interstate 35E/35W split in Columbus (just south of Forest Lake) will be highlighted at an open house on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 in Vadnais Heights.
Mn/DOT invites the public to learn about the project to improve the road condition and safety along the interstate this year and traffic restrictions for the work. Visitors are welcome at any time between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. at the Vadnais Heights City Hall, 800 County Road E, Vadnais Heights.
During the project, existing blacktop pavement will be removed from the concrete below and replaced with an unbonded concrete overlay, which is a long-term pavement fix. The project also includes replacement of the box culvert that carries Clearwater Creek underneath I-35E, located just south of the I-35E/Anoka County Road 14 interchange in Lino Lakes.
If necessary, a second meeting may be scheduled in late May to provide updated project information.
