Research Pays Off Seminar Series
Every 3rd Tuesday of the month 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. (CDT)
Road Research will provide a monthly seminar* to highlight research topics that will make an impact on the work done here in the state of Minnesota and around the country.
2018 Upcoming Webinars
July 17--Tire Derived Aggregates with Monte Niemi, president of First State Tire.
Summary--TDA has 10 main engineering properties that make it superior to conventional soils. Some of the beneficial properties of TDA include: light weight, free draining, has 8x the thermal insulation of soil, and 50% voids, which eliminates potential moisture “wicking”. These properties prevent frost heaving, and have helped road engineers and contractors produce roads that have a longer life span and require less maintenance.
*To the best of our knowledge, this course/activity meets the continuing education requirements for PDHs as outlined in Minnesota Statute 326.107. More information concerning continuing education for professionals is available on the Minnesota Board of AELSLAGID website.
