Additional pedestrian/bicycle trails are located along Hastings Avenue, Maxwell Avenue, Glen Road, and Bailey Road in Newport, and along Summit Avenue in St. Paul Park.
Wakota Bridge
- Construction of the westbound span of the new Wakota Bridge began in 2002 and opened in 2006.

- The low bidder is Lunda Construction Co. at $60.1 million. Additional information on the bid letting.
- The eastbound bridge work will begin in spring 2008 with project completion in 2010.
- The estimated cost of the entire Wakota project, including the eastbound river span, is $300 million.

- Three lanes are provided for traffic in each direction on the new westbound river bridge, which opened to traffic in fall 2006.
