Construction schedule

Westbound I-94 lane resurfacing complete

Late-June through fall 2017

Crews will be resurfacing all EB I-94 lanes from late-June through fall 2017. The following temporary traffic changes will allow them to keep I-94 open while completing this work:

  • Some exit/entrance ramps will close temporarily
  • Temporary barriers will separate traffic
  • Designated traffic lanes will be used to move vehicles through the construction zone. Drivers traveling on EB I-94 will need to choose a lane just west of Mounds Blvd.
  • Watch this I-94 construction video for tips on how to drive through the project area.
    • Drivers traveling beyond the work area should stay in the left lane and follow the “through traffic, stay left” signs
    • Drivers exiting within the construction zone should choose the right lane and follow the “local access, stay right” signs
  • Crews will use a moveable barrier to keep at least two lanes of traffic moving in each direction during construction
