Road work is anticipated to restart in April 2017. Drivers should expect lane restrictions in both directions, traffic delays and temporary exit/entrance ramp closures.

About this project

Summary of work

  • Resurface eastbound & westbound I-94 between Mounds Blvd. to east of Hwy 120/Century Ave.
  • Build a new auxiliary lane & extend the existing auxiliary lane along eastbound I-94 between the exit to East 7th St. and the entrance from Mounds Blvd.
  • Construct two emergency pull-off sites along eastbound I-94 between the exit to East 7th S. and the entrance from Mounds Blvd.
  • Resurface Hwy 61 from north of Burns Ave. to Hwy 5
  • Create trail connections at McKnight Rd. and Century Ave.
  • Update signals and pedestrian access
  • Build a new noise wall and replace part of an existing noise wall between Conway St. and Maple St. Repair Bridges
  • Repair bridges
