Project Description
- 2½ inches of pavement was removed from the mainline, and then four inches of new pavement was put down on the entire road surface
- The new road surface was covered with a ⅝-inch ultra thin wear course designed to reduce road spray, be quieter and extend the life of the pavement beneath
- Fencing was repaired
- Pedestrian ramps and accessible pedestrian signals was installed at the two ramp intersections adjacent to I-35 at East Viking Boulevard in Wyoming
Project Purpose
The existing pavement in the project area reached the end of its expected life cycle. The finished highway provides motorists with a smoother and safer ride.
