Hwy 95, Hwy 8 Resurfacing Project
This project will improve and preserve 10.25 miles of Hwy 95 and one mile of Hwy 8 to improve safety. Access to all homes and businesses will be maintained during the project.
Project Description
- This pavement rehabilitation project will remove two inches of existing pavement from the mainline and replace it with four inches of new asphalt
- Two inches of new asphalt will be added to the shoulders, raising the road profile by two inches
- Construction of several turn and bypass lanes (safety improvement)
- Guardrail installation/repair (safety improvement)
- Culvert replacement and extension
- Storm sewer repair
- Slope flattening (safety improvement)
Project purpose The pavement in the project areas is in poor condition. The finished highway will provide motorists with a smoother and safer ride.
Traffic impacts

The Hwy 8 portion of this project will be of short duration and will cause minimal traffic impacts.
- This project will require alternating lane closures.
- Motorists will be guided through the closed areas by pilot cars.
- There will be no designated detour routes for this project.
