Overview
- This project will resurface Hwy 61 and replace the traffic signal, at Buffalo Street
Location
- Hwy 61 from Hwy 96 in White Bear Lake to Hwy 97 (210 Street North) in Forest Lake
Schedule
- Construction start: July 2012
- Construction ends: October 2012
Cost
- $4.5 million
Traffic impacts
- Full closures of Hwy 61 will occur with detours during culvert replacements

Benefits
- Hwy 61 will be resurfaced
- Replacing traffic signal at Buffalo Street
- Flashing yellow arrow signal
- Eliminating the crosswalk across the south side of Hwy 61 approach
- Replacing six centerline culverts
- Centerline and shoulder rumble strips will be installed to improve safety
- Drainage improvements
- Relocate signal poles at Headwater Parkway
