Public Open House occurs Monday, June 4
The Hwy 55 project team is holding a public open house on Monday, June 4 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Loretto Fire Station, 259 North Medina Street, Loretto. This is a good opportunity for everyone interested in learning about current and future project activities, particularly the first full closure of Hwy 55 currently scheduled to begin June 11. There won’t be a formal presentation, but project staff will be on hand to answer questions and take feedback.

We care about local wildlife
Those who drive along Hwy 55 in Medina may have noticed the bald eagle’s nest on the north side of the roadway. MnDOT and the rest of the Hwy 55 project team are committed to the preservation of the bald eagle, our proud national symbol, and plan to take proactive steps to ensure minimal disruption in the area to its nest—such as not parking any equipment or material within 330 feet of it during construction.
