Description:
- Constructing frontage roads/improving Lincoln and Belmont Streets
- Adding ramps to existing Hwy 47 overpass
In 2012 a full interchange will be constructed at the Hwy 52/47 junction in Hampton.
When complete, new loops and ramps will be added to the existing bridge that spans Hwy 47 across Hwy 52, a new frontage road will be installed, local roads will be improved and other necessary work will be completed while the project is under construction.

Traffic impacts
No major traffic delays are expected. All local businesses will be accessible during and after construction. Expect occasional lane closures on Hwy 52 and Hwy 47. Road closures with flaggers or short detours may be necessary on local streets.

Benefits
- New full interchange at Hwy 52/County Road 47 improves safety and provides easy access between two important regional roadways and the city of Hampton.

- Higher-risk, at-grade intersections along Hwy 52 in Hampton will increase safety.
- Maintains the right turn from northbound Hwy 52 to Hampton’s east-side businesses.
- Drainage and other peripheral improvements will be made as necessary.
- When complete, the city of Hampton will have two full Hwy 52 interchanges – one at Hwy 47, and one at Hwy 50. The dual interchanges create an effective local and regional transportation system.
