Specifics of this design
- The signal at Highwood Drive will be removed, and Highwood Drive will no longer connect to Hwy 169
- Marth Road on the south side of I-494 and W. 78th St. on the north side of I-494 will have new access under Hwy 169
- The Washington Avenue extension to Marth Road will provide a new north/south connection over I-494
- Roundabouts are planned for W. 78th Street, Washington Ave, and Marth Road (six roundabouts are included in the design.) These additions as a whole create a new circulator road, allowing traffic to drive around the Hwy 169/I-494 interchange from Washington Ave to W. Bush Lake Road
- Sidewalks will improve accessibility for pedestrians
