ROSEVILLE, Minn. — Interstate 35W will close in both directions between Interstate 94 and Highway 280 in Minneapolis beginning at 10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13 through 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 16.
Crews will begin closing the ramps for I-35W about one hour before closing the interstate. Motorists will be detoured using I-94 and Highway 280. They can go north on I-35W from Washington Avenue.

In addition, I-35W north will be closed from Highway 62 to I-94 east from 10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13 to noon, Saturday, Sept. 14. The detour is Highway 62 west to Highway 100 north to I-394 east to I-94 east to Highway 280 to I-35W north.
The work from Washington to Portland includes resurfacing of lanes, median work, drainage improvements and repairs to 11 ramps that connect to I-35W. It is expected to be complete in October.
