New reduced conflict intersection opens at 181st Avenue and Highway 65 in East Bethel
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – The newly built reduced conflict intersection at 181st Avenue and Highway 65 in East Bethel opened around 9 p.m. Wednesday, July 16. Although the new intersection is now open to traffic, motorists will still encounter temporary short-term lane closures for cleanup work.
Work and traffic restrictions continues on a new RCI at 143rd Ave. in Ham Lake through early August. Sidewalk, curb and gutter and drainage work also is underway at the existing RCI at 169th Avenue/Flamingo Drive and Highway 65 until early August.
Construction of RCIs and longer turn lanes will improve safety and mobility on the Highway 65 corridor between 85th Avenue in Spring Lake Park and Sims Road in East Bethel.
