Hwy 47 St. Francis open house/listening session scheduled for April 23
ROSEVILLE, Minn. — The Minnesota Department of Transportation will host a public open house/listening session on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 to gather ideas for the future of the Hwy 47 corridor in the city of St. Francis. The open house is scheduled from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, 22940 St. Francis Blvd. NW in St. Francis. Attendees are welcome to come and go at any time, and may view a presentation at 5 p.m. or 6:30 p.m. We are encouraging public participation and want to listen to your ideas and suggestions for a safer Hwy 47.
MnDOT, in partnership with Anoka County and the city of St. Francis, has begun a study of potential improvements on Hwy 47 between Cree Street NW and Anoka County Road 28 (Ambassador Boulevard NW) in the city of St. Francis. The four lane highway currently has safety and access issues and is in need of long-term improvements. The study will examine a range of alternatives to address the safety of people walking, biking, and driving; as well as the role this corridor plays in the future of the city of St. Francis.
For more information and to sign up for email updates and follow the study, please visit the project website at: mndot.gov/metro/projects/hwy47stfrancis.
If you can’t join us in person, an online meeting will be available on the project website from April 24 - May 10:
