Weekend closures planned for westbound Hwy 10 and ramp to Hwy 65 in Blaine
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – The ramp from westbound Highway 10 to Highway 65 in Blaine will close this weekend for construction of an additional lane on the ramp to carry traffic to southbound Highway 65. The ramp will close by 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19 to allow crews to build the new lane along the south side of the ramp. At the same time, the right lane of westbound Highway 10 will close between Airport Road (93rd Lane Extension N.E.) and Highway 65 to install guardrail and build new curb along the north side of the westbound road.
During the ramp closure, traffic will detour west to Highway 47 and then use the ramps to travel back east on Highway 10 to reach Highway 65. Weather permitting, the ramp will reopen to traffic by 8 p.m. Saturday evening, Oct. 21. The outside lane of the westbound highway is expected to open by 3 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 22.
NOTE: The new left turn lane on the ramp will not open until later this year after a new traffic signal is installed for the new double left turn lane.
This weekend’s work is part of a two-year project to build Reduced Conflict Intersections on Highway 65 in Ham Lake and East Bethel along with extending left turn lanes along the highway between 85th Avenue in Blaine and Sims Road in East Bethel.
