Hwy 96 ramp to southbound I-35E closure in White Bear Lake scheduled Sept. 28
ROSEVILLE, Minn. — Motorists in the northeast Twin Cities metro will encounter a ramp closure on Sept. 28.
Beginning at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28, the Highway 96 ramp to southbound I-35E will close.
Motorists are advised to take the County Road E ramp to southbound I-35E during the closure. The ramp is expected to re-open in late October.
MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution and slowdown in work zones.
The ramp closure is part of the two-year I-35E Goose Lake Road and Highway 96 road resurfacing project. In addition to resurfacing, the work includes widening the road, re-decking and widening the Highway 96 bridge, replacing the I-35E bridges over Goose Lake Road, updating drainage, repairing guardrail and constructing a trail. The work is expected to be complete by Dec 2016.
