ROSEVILLE, Minn. — Motorists will encounter delays and a detour on I-94 in St. Paul as the road will close on Aug. 29 and again on Aug. 31.

The following closures of I-94 will be:

  • 11 p.m. Monday, Aug. 29 to 5 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30: the westbound lanes on I-94 will close between Marion Street and Lexington Parkway
  • 11 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31 to 5 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 1: the eastbound lanes on I-94 will close between Marion Street and Lexington Parkway

Motorist should follow the posted detours using I-35E, Highway 36 and Highway 280 to bypass the closure.

The closure is necessary as crews set beams for the MacKubin St. and Grotto St. pedestrian and bike bridges, which are being replaced.

The pedestrian and bike bridges will remain closed until approximately November. During the closure, pedestrians and bicyclists should use Dale Street as a detour.
