County Road E2 bridge over Interstate 35W opens this weekend in Arden Hills, New Brighton

ST. CLOUD, Minn. – Motorists will experience smoother traffic flow and easier access to local roads and businesses with the opening of the new Ramsey County Road E2 bridge crossing Interstate 35W on the border of Arden Hills and New Brighton. The new bridge and all ramps between I-35W and County Road E2 are expected to open to traffic by Sunday morning, Aug. 14.

Reconstruction of County Road E2 between I-35W and 5th Avenue will continue after the bridge reopens. The city of New Brighton is coordinating the project which is expected to be completed yet this month.

Construction of the new County Road E2 bridge crossing I-35W and the ramps linking it to the interstate on the Arden Hills and New Brighton began April 25. The new County Road E2 bridge will improve access across I-35W and improve safety for bicyclists and pedestrians. The new bridge is a longer-lasting, smoother, wider and more modern structure.
