Northbound Highway 280 closed this weekend for resurfacing in Lauderdale and St. Paul
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists may encounter delays this weekend during resurfacing of the northbound lanes of Highway 280 between Como Avenue in St. Paul and Broadway Street in Lauderdale. Northbound left (inside) lane closures will begin around 3 p.m. Friday, August 12 and the highway along with all ramps along the northbound highway will close at 10 p.m. between Como Avenue and I-35W. The ramp from Como Avenue to northbound Highway 280 also will close.
The northbound highway and all ramps will reopen by 5 a.m. Monday, August 15.
During the closure, northbound Highway 280 traffic will detour east on I-94, north on Highway 51/Snelling Avenue and west on Highway 36. Motorists should use alternate routes to avoid congestion and follow the signed detours to reach their destinations.
Resurfacing extends the life of the highway and saves money while providing smoother and more reliable transportation for Twin Cities’ travelers
