Weekend closure on I-94 in St. Paul starting July 22
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists traveling on Interstate 94 in St. Paul will encounter a detour starting at 8 p.m. Friday, July 22. I-94 will be completely closed between Lexington Parkway and I-35E in St. Paul. And I-94 will also be down to a single lane between Highway 280 and Lexington Parkway.
Vehicles should detour using Highway 280, Highway 36, and I-35E. All lanes will reopen by 5 p.m. Sunday, July 24.
The closure is necessary to facilitate the removal of the MacKubin Street and Grotto Street pedestrian and bike bridges, which are being replaced this summer.
The pedestrian and bike bridges will remain closed until November. During the closure, pedestrians and bicyclists should use Dale Street as a detour.
