Snelling Avenue (Hwy 51) open house set for July 27
Meeting will focus bike/pedestrian improvements in St. Paul
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation is inviting residents, motorists and business community members in St. Paul to attend an open house to learn more about potential pedestrian and bicycle improvements on Snelling Avenue between Hewitt Avenue and Midway Parkway.
The open house is scheduled for Wednesday, July 27, in Room 111 of the Anderson Center at Hamline University, 774 Snelling Avenue N, St. Paul, between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. and again from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Formal presentations will be held at 1:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
Minnesota Department of Transportation engineers and project managers will provide a study update, collect input on improvement options and answer questions.
Public input will help identify potential future safety and mobility improvements for pedestrians and bicyclists, as well as help planners understand project cost and how improvements may impact adjacent properties.
Members of the public who cannot attend the open house are encouraged to participate in a live Facebook broadcast of the 1:30 p.m. presentation.
