Northbound I-35W closed this weekend for resurfacing between Roseville and Arden Hills
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists may encounter delays this weekend during resurfacing of the northbound lanes of Interstate 35W between Highway 36 in Roseville and Interstate 694 in Arden Hills. Northbound lane closures will begin around 7 p.m. Friday, July 15 at County Road C. At the same time, the ramps to and from County Road C will close.
All remaining ramps, including Highway 36, Highway 88, County Road D and County Road E2 will close at 9 p.m. The northbound lanes of the interstate will close at 10 p.m. The interstate and all ramps will reopen by 5 a.m. Monday, July 18.
During the closure, northbound I-35W traffic will detour east on Highway 36, north on Highway 51/Snelling Avenue and west on I-694. Motorists should use alternate routes to avoid congestion and follow the signed detours to reach their destinations.
Resurfacing of the southbound lanes in the same area is planned for the weekend of July 23-24, weather permitting.
Work is expected to be completed by mid-August, weather permitting.
Resurfacing the interstate extends the life of the highway and saves money while providing smoother and more reliable transportation for Twin Cities’ travelers
