County Road E ramp to Southbound I-35E in Vadnais Heights to close June 24 (tonight)
ROSEVILLE, Minn.—Motorists will encounter a ramp closure in the Vadnais Heights area tonight. The County Road E ramp to southbound Interstate 35E will close by 10 p.m. Friday, June 24.
The closure is needed because there’s not enough room for motorists to merge safely from southbound I-35E to eastbound Interstate 694.
Motorists are advised to follow the posted detour. MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution and slowdown in work zones.
The ramp is expected to re-open in approximately two months.
The ramp closure is part of the two-year I-35E Goose Lake Road and Highway 96 road resurfacing project. In addition to resurfacing, the work includes widening the road, re-decking and widening the Highway 96 bridge, replacing the I-35E bridges over Goose Lake Road, updating drainage, repairing guardrail and constructing a trail. The work is expected to be complete by Dec 2016.
