Orange barrels on a highway

I-35 off-peak lane closures scheduled to begin in Forest Lake on May 5

ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists can expect daytime shoulder, ramp and lane closures on Interstate 35 between Washington County Hwy 2 (Broadway Avenue) and US Hwy 8, as crews begin installing new LED lighting along the road beginning Monday morning, May 5.

Motorists should slow down as they approach and navigate with care through the work zone.

The project is expected to be complete by Monday, June 9, weather permitting.

LED lighting is brighter, energy-efficient, low-maintenance and longer-lasting than traditional lighting. It uses about a third of the electricity of conventional lighting which results in significant energy and maintenance costs.
