Orange barrels on a highway

Single-lane traffic on I-35 in Lakeville begins April 27

ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists will encounter delays in both directions of Interstate 35 between County Road 50 and County Road 70 as crews repair concrete pavement to provide a smoother and safer ride for motorists.

Beginning at 10 p.m. Sunday, April  27 both northbound and southbound traffic of I-35 will be moved to the same side of the road between County Road 50 and County Road 70.

In addition, the County Road 50 ramp to southbound I-35 and the ramp from southbound I-35 to 185th Street/County Road 60 will close.  Motorists are advised to follow the signed detours in order to bypass these closures.

In mid-May traffic will be moved to its regular side of the road and the ramps will reopen. Motorists will still experience temporary lane closures during non-rush hours and weekends through early June.

By performing periodic concrete pavement repairs at the correct times, the roads lifespan can be greatly increased before costly reconstruction is needed.

All work is weather permitting and could change for inclement weather.
