Orange barrels on a highway

Hwy 52 lane closures take place April 16

ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists may experience delays on Hwy 52 near Vermillion as both directions of the roadway are reduced to a single lane Wednesday, April 16.

Beginning at 5 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, the right lane in both directions of Hwy 52 at County Road 66 will close as crews construct a Reduced Conflict Intersection (RCI).

Constructing an RCI is often less expensive than installing a traffic signal and a fraction the cost of building an interchange.

Once complete, this $900,000 project will improve the safety of Hwy 52 at County Road 66 by eliminating motorists from crossing all four lanes of high-speed traffic and turning left across oncoming traffic.
