Nightly I-35E lane closures in St. Paul and Maplewood begin March 10

Lane closures to occur Monday through Saturday evenings for several weeks

ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists may experience delays as the left lane of both directions of I-35E between Maryland Avenue and Highway 36 closes from 7 p.m. until 5 a.m. Mondays through Saturdays for several weeks beginning March 10.

The lane closures are needed for center pier construction for the new Wheelock Parkway and Arlington Avenue bridges. The nightly lane closures are anticipated to conclude in approximately late March.

The work is part of the I-35E MnPASS project, which aims to add a MnPASS lane between Little Canada Road and Maryland Avenue, implement long-term pavement improvements on I-35E and replace the Arlington Avenue Bridge, the Wheelock Parkway Bridge, the Larpenteur Avenue Bridge and I-35E bridges spanning local roadways.
