Correction—Northbound I-35E lane and ramp closures occur Nov. 24, Nov. 25
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists may experience delays as lane and ramp closures on northbound Interstate 35E between I-94 and Cayuga Street occur overnight Sunday, Nov. 24. and during the day on Monday, Nov. 25.
Northbound I-35E will be reduced to a single lane at 7 p.m. Nov. 24, and the ramp from eastbound I-94 to northbound I-35E will be reduced to a single lane. In addition, the following ramps will close:
- Westbound I-94 to northbound I-35E
- Northbound I-35E to Phalen Blvd.
Motorists traveling westbound on I-94 will be directed to Marion Street and eastbound I- 94 to access northbound I-35E. .
The lanes and ramps will reopen by 2 a.m., Nov. 25.
At 8:30 a.m., Monday, Nov. 25, northbound I-35E will be reduced to two lanes and the ramp from Jackson Street to northbound I-35E will close. All lanes and the ramp will reopen by 1 p.m., Nov. 25.
The lane and ramp closures are necessary as northbound I-35E traffic is shifted west in preparation for reconstruction of the current lanes between University Avenue and Cayuga Street.
The work is part of the I-35E Cayuga improvement project, which aims to reconstruct I-35E between University Avenue and Maryland Avenue, including replacement of the Cayuga Bridge, the Pennsylvania Avenue Bridge and the railroad bridges along I-35E.
