Orange barrels on a highway

Overnight closure planned for East 7th Street ramp to southbound Hwy 52/Lafayette bridge in St. Paul

ROSEVILLE, Minn.— As crews begin preliminary work to switch traffic for reconstruction of the Hwy 52 bridge over Interstate 94, the ramp from East 7th Street to southbound Hwy 52 will close from 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20 to 5 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 21.

Traffic will be switched to the east side of the bridge on Thursday night, Nov. 21, after the concrete median barrier on the bridge is moved. Traffic will remain on the east side of the bridge and crews will demolish the west side of the bridge in February 2014

The ramps from southbound I-35E and westbound I-94 will remain open with access to the southbound bridge.

During the closure, motorists should detour east on Interstate 94 and south on Mounds Boulevard to avoid the closure.
