Orange barrels on a highway

The end is in sight for I-694 travelers in Arden Hills

Numerous openings planned for the Twin Cities north central suburbs Friday night

ROSEVILLE, Minn.—  The long-anticipated reconstruction of the Interstate 694 corridor between Victoria Street in Shoreview and I-35W in Arden Hills, along with the new interchange of Hwy 10 and Ramsey County Road 96 and the Hwy 10 Diagonal in Arden Hills is nearing completion.

As construction winds down, the new Hwy 10/County Road 96 interchange and surrounding ramps and loops will open Friday night, Nov. 15. Crews will begin opening the roadways following evening rush hour and all roadways will open by midnight.

With the opening of Hwy 10 and County Road 96, access to local businesses and homes along the Hwy 10 Diagonal will be restored from Hwy 10. And although all roadways will be reopened, final grading, signing, traffic control and storm water pond construction will continue throughout the entire project site so caution is needed when traveling through the area.

Motorists also are advised to drive carefully on the newly opened roads to get acquainted with the new traffic configurations. A map and more detailed information about the various ramp, loop and roads opening is available on the I-694 North Central Projects website at: http://www.mndot.gov/metro/projects/694expand/.
