Orange barrels on a highway

Hwy 36 ramp and lane closures scheduled in Pine springs Oct. 7

ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists will encounter a ramp and lane closures as crews begin shifting traffic from the temporary Hwy 36 bypass to the newly-constructed westbound Hwy 36 Oct. 7.

At 9 a.m. both directions of Hwy 36 will be reduced to a single lane between Interstate 694 and Demontreville Trail. At the same time, access to the westbound Hwy 36 ramp from southbound Hilton Trail will close.

The work is weather dependent and may be delayed a day or two, if the ground gets too wet over the weekend.

Motorists are advised to follow the posted detour of eastbound 60th Street North/Frontage Road, to Demontreville Trail, and to westbound Hwy 36.

All lanes will re-open by 9 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 8. The ramp will re-open by 9 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9.
Motorists should prepare to slow down in work zone areas.
When completed in spring 2014, the $13.8 million reconstruction project will improve safety and traffic flow on Hwy 36, Hilton Trail, Highlands Trail and Demontreville Trail while reducing the amount of through traffic cutting through residential areas.
