ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists will continue to encounter a ramp and lane closures on Hwy 36  as crews continue shifting traffic from the temporary bypass to the newly-constructed westbound Hwy 36.

At 9 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 16, both directions of Hwy 36 between Interstate 694 and DeMontreville Trail will be reduced to a single lane.

The ramp from southbound Hilton Trail to westbound Hwy 36 will remain closed.

Motorists are advised to follow the posted detour of eastbound 60th Street North/Frontage Road, to DeMontreville Trail, and to westbound Hwy 36.

The westbound lanes and ramp will re-open by 6 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 17.  The eastbound lanes will re-open by 9 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 17.

All work is weather dependent.

Motorists should prepare to slow down in work zone areas.

When complete in spring 2014, the $13.8 million reconstruction project will improve safety and traffic flow on Hwy 36, Hilton Trail, Highlands Trail and DeMontreville Trail while reduce the amount of traffic cutting through residential areas.
