Off-peak lane closure on Hwy 65 in East Bethel begins Oct. 16

Klondike Avenue median crossover will remain closed for three weeks

ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists will encounter a detour, lane and median closures in both directions of Hwy 65 in East Bethel as crews begin installing a concrete barrier on Wednesday, Oct. 16.

At 7 a.m., the left lane of northbound Hwy 65 between Klondike Avenue and just north of Viking Boulevard will close.  At the same time, the Hwy 65 median crossing at Klondike Avenue will close.

At 9 a.m., the left lane of southbound Hwy 65 between Klondike Avenue and just south of 205th Avenue also will close. 

Motorists traveling northbound are advised to follow the posted detour of Klondike Avenue, Sims Road, Polk Street and back on Klondike Avenue. The posted detour for motorists traveling south is Klondike Avenue, Viking Boulevard, East Bethel Road back to Klondike Avenue.

Both lanes will re-open by 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16. The median crossing will re-open by Wednesday, Nov. 6, weather permitting.

Motorists should prepare to slow down in work zone areas.
