Eastbound I-694 weekend closure planned in Arden Hills
ROSEVILLE, Minn.— As concrete pavement repairs continue on Interstate 694, the eastbound lanes of the interstate will be closed this weekend between I-35W and Lexington Avenue in Arden Hills. The eastbound interstate will be reduced to a single lane of traffic beginning at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6 and will close to traffic at 10 p.m. Weather permitting, the roadway will reopen to traffic by 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 9.
While the interstate is closed, the ramp from eastbound I-694 to northbound I-35W and from northbound and southbound I-35W to eastbound I-694 will be closed.
During the closure, motorists will be detoured south on I-35W, east on Highway 36 and back north on I-35E.
Along with the concrete pavement work, crews will also use the closure to work on the interchange of I-694/Highway 10/Snelling and Hamline Avenues.
Concrete pavement repair, drainage improvements and bridge deck replacement began in mid-June on I-694 between Highway 100 in Brooklyn Center and Interstate 35W in Arden Hills. Work is expected to be completed by mid-November.
