Hwy 5 resurfacing project in Washington County begins Sept. 9

Intermittent lane closures are scheduled and delays are expected

ROSEVILLE, Minn. – A project to resurface an eight-mile section of Hwy 5 between Hwy 120 in Oakdale and Hwy 36 in Oak Park Heights will begin Monday, Sept. 9.

Beginning at 6 p.m., motorists traveling on both directions of Hwy 5 may encounter intermittent lane closures.

Lanes will re-open by 6 a.m. daily.

Construction will begin at Hwy 120/Hwy 5.  While a majority of the work will be done overnight, some construction may take place during off-peak, daytime hours.

All construction will be done under traffic and motorists can expect delays. Flagging and pilot car operations will direct motorists through the work zone.

Drivers should plan to navigate the work zone with care as crews complete their work.

The project is expected to be complete by early November.
