Eastbound I-694 traffic restrictions lifted overnight
Concrete pavement repair continues on westbound interstate in north central suburbs
ROSEVILLE, Minn.— Motorists traveling on eastbound Interstate 694 in the Twin Cities north central suburbs this morning found all lanes of the eastbound interstate reopened to traffic between Hwy 100 in Brooklyn Center and I-35W in Arden Hills.
Along with the roadway opening overnight, the following ramps and loops also reopened to traffic:
- Eastbound I-94 to eastbound I-694.
- Westbound I-94/northbound Hwy 252 to eastbound I-694.
- Eastbound I-694 to Hwy 252.
- Southbound Hwy 252 to eastbound I-694.
- Eastbound I-694 to East River Road.
- Eastbound I-694 to southbound University Avenue (Hwy 47).
Concrete pavement repair continues on the westbound lanes of the interstate and traffic is restricted to two lanes during the daytime and a single lane overnight between I-35W and East River Road until mid-November.
As part of work on the westbound lanes, the ramp from Long Lake Road to westbound I-694 will close at 9 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 29 and remain closed until early November. Weather permitting, work will be complete by mid-November.
