Westbound I-694 weekend closures begin Sept. 27 in Arden Hills, New Brighton

ROSEVILLE, Minn.— A second weekend of closures is scheduled for westbound I-694 between I-35W and Long Lake Road in Arden Hills and New Brighton as crews continue concrete pavement repairs.  The westbound interstate will be reduced to a single lane of traffic beginning at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27 and will close to traffic at 10 p.m. Weather permitting, the roadway will reopen to traffic by 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 30.

While the interstate is closed, the ramps from northbound and southbound I-35W to westbound I-694 also will close.

During the closures, motorists will be detoured north on I-35W, west on Highway 10 and Highway 610 and south on Highway 252 to the westbound interstate.

Concrete pavement repair, drainage improvements and bridge deck replacement began in mid-June on I-694 between Highway 100 in Brooklyn Center and Interstate 35W in Arden Hills. Work is expected to be completed by mid-November.
