Weekend road and ramp closures on westbound I-694 in New Brighton begin Sept. 20
ROSEVILLE, Minn. — Westbound Interstate 694 between I-35W and Long Lake Road will close this weekend as crews continue repairing the concrete pavement on the roadway.
Beginning at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20, westbound I-694 between I-35W and Long Lake Road will be reduced to a single lane. At 10 p.m. the roadway will close.
At the same day and time, the ramps from northbound and southbound I-35W to westbound I-694 will close. The roadway and ramps will re-open by 5 a.m., Monday, Sept. 23.
During the closures motorists will be detoured to northbound I-35W, westbound Highway 10, westbound Highway 610, southbound Highway 252 and back to westbound I-694.
Crews began repairing the pavement, replacing the bridge deck and making roadway drainage improvements on I-694 between Highway 100 in Brooklyn Center and I-35W in Arden Hills in mid-June. Work is expected to be complete by mid-November.
