MnDOT installs temporary 4-way stop at Hwy 55 and Boone Avenue
ROSEVILLE, Minn. — Crews have installed a temporary 4-way stop sign at the intersection of Highway 55 and Boone Avenue to replace the traffic signal that came down earlier today in a fatal traffic crash.
The 4-way stop sign may be needed for up to a week while contractors replace a new concrete base that will hold the traffic signal in place, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation. Once poured, the concrete base must cure for a week.
Crews are working to install a temporary stop light that could be operating by Monday rush hour, weather permitting.
Motorists will experience slower traffic and are reminded to drive carefully and stay alert.
