Numerous road closures, detours ahead this weekend in northwest Twin Cities suburbs
ROSEVILLE, Minn.—Travelers in the northwestern Twin Cities Metro area will encounter several road closures and detours throughout the upcoming weekend. Beginning at 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9, the following roads are slated to close for demolition of the Hwy 252 bridge decks and concrete pavement repair within the interchange:
- Northbound and southbound Hwy 252 at I-694; southbound traffic will detour south on Hwy 100 to eastbound I-394.
- Westbound I-94 between I-394 and I-694; detour west on I-394 to northbound I-494
- Westbound I-694 at Hwy 100, detour south on Hwy 100, west on I-394 and north on I-494
Weather permitting, all roadways will be open by 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 12.
Crews will continue concrete pavement repair, drainage and bridge deck replacement on I-694 between I-35W in Arden Hills and Highgway 100 in Brooklyn Center until early November.
NOTE: Northbound Hwy 169 also will be closed and detoured at Hwy 55 this weekend. You’ll have to detour either west on I-394 or west on Hwy 55 to northbound I-494.
