Hwy 36 ramp closure scheduled in Northeast metro area Sept. 3

The ramp to westbound Interstate 694 will be closed for 30 days

ROSEVILLE, Minn.– Motorists in Pine springs will experience delays when the ramp from westbound Hwy 36 to westbound Interstate 694 closes at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3.

The closure is necessary as crews restore the shoreline and stabilize the south end of Long Lake which is adjacent to the westbound lanes of the Hwy.

The ramp is expected to re-open by Wednesday, Oct. 2, weather permitting.

Motorists are advised to plan alternate routes and to allow extra time for travel.

When completed in late fall 2013, the $13.8 million Hwy 36/Hilton Trail interchange project will improve safety and traffic flow on Hwy 36, Hilton Trail, Highlands Trail and Demontreville Trail.
